Message Board System Policy

The following is the system policy for all message boards hosted by SOLAR Inc., Cerroneth Campaign. The policies herein will be stringently enforced and violators of the system policies will be warned and may be punished with a revocation of posting privileges. Posting to the SOLAR message boards assumes that you have fully read and complied with this document. Ignorance of the system policy is no defense or excuse. The SOLAR Inc. message boards are privately owned and no entitlement to post to the boards is implied. Posting is a privilege and may be revoked at any time by the webmaster. The webmaster is the final and only court of appeal for violators of the system policy.

GENERAL NOTICE: Do NOT use Colored Fonts in your posts unless you are POSITIVE that you know what you are doing. Red in Subject lines is reserved for staff and admin posts, violating posts will be deleted.

OOP Forum

• The General Forum is for Game related Questions and observations, directly related to rules and game play. All other posts will be deleted without notice or explanation.
• No profanity of any kind is permitted on the General Forum.
• No anonymous posting is permitted.
• The General Forum is NOT a message drop. If you have something you want to say to someone use e-mail.
• The General Forum is NOT Scott Neeley (or any Staff member's) answering machine. Messages that are solely "Did you get my e-mail?" or "Check your E-mail" will be deleted without explanation or notice.
• Personal abuse is not permitted. Attacking any player, staff member or the game itself will result in deletion of the post and suspension of posting privileges.
• This Website is ADVERTISING for SOLAR... Before you post to ANY Forum, think how you would perceive SOLAR if your post was the first post you had read.
• NO FLAMING. Never take someone to task or argue publically on these Boards... Your post will be deleted. Take it to E-mail.
• Any complaints regarding SOLAR, CERRONETH.COM, and PLOT should be directed to the appropriate party... not posted. Players cannot solve your problem... only the STAFF can.
• This forum is not a place for accusatory conversation. If you have an issue with someone concerning the game, email them, or email someone like a PLOT member if it's a serious issue. This is not a place to call out "cheaters" or make allegations against someone. Use common sense, and above all, some manners.
• When you type in all caps, it's considered yelling. So, DON'T YELL UNLESS YOU MEAN IT. Anything you want to yell should probably be taken to email.
• The following people are considered SOLAR Staff:

• Gabe Russell
• Scott Neeley
• General Manager and/or Assistant Manager of a Specific Campaign
• Chairman of the Rules Committee
• Head of Logisitics
• Head of Formal
• Head of Monster Town for a Specific Campaign
• Head of Plot and Plot Committee for a Specific Campaign
• Head Medic and Medical Staff

• If an official answer is requested, these people alone are to answer. Anyone else will have their posts removed.
• Recurring violations of any of the System Policies will result in suspension of posting privileges.

Fun Forum

• The Fun Forum is for General conversation between players and as such the rules regarding behavior are more relaxed.
• Posts to the Fun Forum should be suitable for all players and visitors to the website.
• Since the purpose of the Fun Forum is for general enjoyment and entertainment, please try and make posts relevant to everyone.
• No profanity of any kind is permitted on the Fun Forum.
• No anonymous posting is permitted.
• The Fun Forum is NOT a message drop. If you have something you want to say to someone use e-mail. On the Fun Forum, this rule is more relaxed, HOWEVER, messages that should be directed through e-mail (webmaster's call) will be deleted without notice or explanation.
• The Fun Forum is NOT any staff member's answering machine. Messages that are solely "Did you get my e-mail?" or "Check your E-mail" will be deleted without explanation or notice.

In Play Forums (Taverns/Guilds)

• The In Play Forums are for In Play Role-playing between events. All posts here (with rare exceptions made by the Staff) must be IN-PLAY or they will be deleted without notice or explanation.
• Posts to the In Play Forums should be suitable for all players and visitors to the website.
• Since the purpose of the In Play Forums is for general enjoyment and entertainment, please try and make posts relevant to the game.
• Try and keep "Hooded Strangers" to a minimum.
• Due to the physical restraints of role-playing online, NO VIOLENCE of ANY KIND is possible in the on-line environments. PERIOD.
• No physical contact is permitted in the In-play Forums without player permission.
• No profanity of any kind is permitted on the In-Play Forums.
• No anonymous posting is permitted. Include an e-mail with your "Hooded Stranger"
• Personal abuse is not permitted. Attacking any player, staffer or the game itself will result in deletion of the post and suspension of posting privileges.

• Remember that no one can hear you "saying" what you type. Tone is often difficult to guess in posts. Suggestion adding something as simple as a smiley or *insert sarcasm here* can change the entire way someone reads a post.
• Any messages posted by ANYONE other than PLOT or the BARON of that land regarding the open vs. closed status of that portal (Who guards let in etc.) will be deleted... Unless you are PLOT, a BARON (of the respective portal [e.g. Isles, Sudbyr... etc]) do NOT bother to attempt to block passage of a player or NPC into or from a portal. If any of the NOW Authorized representatives (and here comes the work for me part) would like to assign the duty to someone else in their group then that Authorized person (e.g. PLOT, BARON) need to e-mail me THEMSELVES and authorize someone else to handle the duty of policing their respective PORTAL.
• If you do NOT have a character on the books... you CANNOT post In-Play... there are NO exceptions.
• Pets that your character does not have (like winged monkeys with x-ray eyes) are not permitted... and you are a maynard if you post that you do... when you don't. Also, keep the use of pages, squires or anyone else in livery to a minimum.
• Recurring violations of any of the System Policies will result in suspension of posting privileges, as per the following guidelines:

• First Unacceptable Post - Deletion of Post, Written Warning
• Next Unacceptable Post within six (6) months of the first - Deletion of Post, Suspension of Posting Priviledges on Specific Boards for One Month
• Next Unacceptable Post within six (6) months of the second - Deletion of Post, Suspension of all Posting Priviledges for three Months.
• Next Unacceptable Post within six (6) months of the third - Deletion of Post, Suspension of all Posting Priviledges for six Months.
• Next Unacceptable Post within six (6) months of the forth - Deletion of Post, All Posting Priviledges Revoked, ISP contacted for harassment.

The Webmaster reserves the right to skip any of the punishments listed as he deems necessary and right.
